This is the prehistory of birth of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha means mercy and compassion. The legend says that the boy Chenrezig lived with the King. Chenrezig took a vow, to protect all living beings. when he undestand that this task is impossible, his head split into pieces, which Amitabha gave 11 faces and make him more powerfull.
